| We are seeking enthusiastic people who like the program and love their language. If you can help us translate Allway Sync or this web site to your language please do so. All translators will be granted a license for Allway Sync Pro. Right now our users need French and German translation for the web site. So, your help will be greatly appreciated. To translate Allway Sync please register as an expert on VViki.com, locate Allway Sync translation order for your language and translate the phrases that are not yet translated. Please check back when a new version of Allway Sync is released. If you are a software developer, you can use VViki.com free service to localize your software. Upload your English phrases and native translators will submit localized versions of them. To translate the user interface: - Download and install the latest version of Allway Sync (install the beta if it's available).
- Locate the two-character code, [culture name], for your language from the table at this page. For instance, [culture name] for French is "fr".
- Copy the Languages\en.xlf file to Languages\[culture name].xlf in the Allway Sync program folder.
- If [culture name].xlf already exists, use it as the starting point. However, feel free to augment and correct the previous translation if necessary.
- Using an XML or text editor, translate the English phrases into your language.
- Tip: use an editor that shows line numbers, life is a lot simpler if you keep the number of lines the same as in en.xlf, even if that means rather long lines in your own language.
- The XML files distributed in the Languages directory use UTF-8 encoding. Be sure to save your file with the same UTF-8 encoding.
- Verify that your new file is a proper XML document by opening it in Internet Explorer.
- Run the program and switch to your language from the main menu.
- Make sure the user interface is translated correctly.
- Please note, new version phrases do not exist in localized XML language files. Copy them from en.xlf and translate.
- If you are not able to translate a string you see in the program because it's not in en.xlf, please let us know.
- Also please tell us if you see any inconsistency or misprints in en.xlf.
- Send us the translated file ([culture name].xlf). We will include it in our next release,
- If you are not able to finish the translation in 2-3 days, please send us what you have managed to translate.
